Using Outline

The Maple IDE provides a view that shows an outline of Maple code.
See Maple Views for more information on views.

This procedure describes how to view Maple elements in the Outline view.

  1. Open a Maple file.
  2. Go to the Outline view. If it is not displayed, go to Window > Show View > Outline.
  3. The outline shows the elements of the current Maple file. If you click one of these, the appropriate element (module, procedure, variable etc.) will be displayed. By default, elements appear in the order in which they appear in the source file. You can also sort or filter the entries.
  4. The outline has two states: Package and Script.
    • Package state shows modules, procedures, arrows and their members such as locals and exports.

    • Script state shows full structure of a Maple file (lists, expressions, blocks, parameters etc.).
